BarrADR is no longer accepting new cases.

BarrADR is now shuttered for new business, and I intend to spend 2024 exploring new paths that don’t involve law, mediation, or arbitration.

I am so grateful to have experienced the last decade of my legal career at BarrADR. I have loved every moment of working with my clients: the talented lawyers in Denver’s legal community, in Colorado, and nationally. Every day has brought new lessons and challenges, and I will miss my work, my colleagues at the bar, and their clients.

I will continue to be available to follow up on cases that are still unresolved. If you don’t already have my cell number (most people do), contact me through LinkedIn or email robbie@barradr.com.

I might be posting some thoughts on LinkedIn, so stay tuned. But mostly, thank you for making my professional life so very rich these past 10 years.

As to what’s next, who knows what adventures await? Could be earning my fourth-degree black belt or traveling the world. Could be continuing to teach and mentor young lawyers, with an eye to DEI and a more just world.  Could be volunteering.  In all of it, I hope to stay curious, open-minded, and grateful.  I wish all of you the best of everything.  Thank you.

TESTIMONIALS

``Judge Barr is one of the few people in Denver, male or female, who have established a successful solo mediation practice. Perhaps without realizing that success would follow her wherever she went, Judge Barr took a tremendous leap of faith to branch out on her own. Through her intuitive communication style, she has created an approach to mediation that allows each party to feel heard and, more importantly, respected. Judge Barr’s keen intellect makes her a quick study of the facts and personalities involved in a case, and her calming and empathetic demeanor ensure that all parties feel comfortable taking important and informed steps toward resolution. She is universally respected by both male and female attorneys, and the plaintiffs and defense bar. She has been a long-time supporter of the CWBA and remains highly cognizant of the issues women face in the workplace—whether as employees or business owners.``

``Thank you for your work on this case. I am confident that we would not have come close to an agreement without your involvement. I’ll look forward to working with you in the future.``

``Now that we have come to a conclusion with our mediation, I wanted to take a quick moment to thank you for your approach . . . I have not been involved in mediation like this before and I was most impressed in your abilities. I appreciate the patience that you offered in working with the two sides. I believe that in the end, the outcome was in the best interest of all involved parties. You have sold me on the value of mediation. Thank you again for what you bring to this process.``

``I appreciated your willingness to provide what I considered to be an evaluative-style mediation. I found your approach to be insightful as to how the case may play out and your ability to push back on both outside and in-house counsel’s positions, in a non-offensive manner, was helpful.``
